A collector contacted Fathom Stone Art carving studio and asked if we would be able to repair a beautiful soapstone eagle carving he had recently acquired. The stone restoration job was finished in just a day's time and it now looks as beautiful as it was when it was first hand carved. This sculpture was carved over 30 years ago, possibly by a Canadian Inuit / Eskimo soapstone Canadian carver. The beak was previously damaged and pinned and glued together. The carving had many scratches and some damage. We reshaped and carved the beak and completely refinished the entire piece with sandpaper and files where reshaping was needed and restored it to its original beauty.
Price for restoration: $85 / hour
