Process
How a commission comes together
Consultation
A private conversation about your space, the subject and how the piece should feel. A theme or a feeling is enough to start.
Stone
We help you choose the stone. Its veining, translucency and movement shape the final design.
Quote
Based on scale, complexity, material rarity, carving time and any installation.
Carving
A 50% deposit secures the stone and the carving schedule. Photo and video updates as the work develops.
Delivery
The balance is due on completion. We arrange crating, shipping or installation.

Stone we carve
Alabaster
Soft and translucent. The stone behind our lighting.
Marble
Dense and cool to the touch. Used for the life-size polar bears.
Onyx
Banded colour that glows when backlit.
BC jade
British Columbia nephrite. Deep green, extremely hard.
Chlorite
Dark, polishes to a soft lustre.
Wonderstone
Fine-grained with painterly patterning.
Calcite
Honeycomb and banded forms in warm tones.
Rare stone
Brucite, serpentine, malachite and others, as available.
